SIAYA COUNTY PROFESSIONALS CAUCUS

A.      Important Observations and Notes

       The Committee made the following observations, notes and resolutions during the meeting of September 30, 2013 in Nairobi:

1.       Siaya Voters have a Second chance to elect a leader of their choice.

2.       This by-election gives Josiaya, a unique opportunity to evaluate the two candidates who have presented themselves and elect them on merit, and not on political persuasions.

3.       There is need for the Caucus to reach out to other professional groups from the County to establish a strong professional platform or network to enable professionals to participate in County planning, policy making and development processes.

4.       Immediately after the by-election there is need for professionals to help the new Governor come up with a strong development agenda to transform Siaya into a model County and attract investments within the County;

5.       Professionals to work with the County Government to map out and identify for exploitation, resources within the County e.g. Fishing, Agriculture, Livestock, Land use, Tourism, Cottage industries, Trade& Entrepreneurship.

6.       As professionals we must help our preferred candidate  sell his policies and avoid any sort of name calling.

B.      Seven Point Campaign Plan

1)      Revitalize Siaya County Professional Caucus Online Network and link up with online Platforms intensify campaigns for William Oduol;

2)      Participate in the William Oduol Fundraiser set for October 2, 2013 at KICC, Nairobi;

3)        Ask each member of the Caucus to activate all their grassroots networks and village cells through SMS, telephone calls and community-based meetings to intensify ground campaigns;

4)      Mobilize members of the Caucus and other like-minded professionals who can be available during the campaign period from starting now till the October 17th by election date;

5)       Conduct an intensive Media Campaign through local FM radios mainly Ramogi and Mayienga – in doing this the Siaya Professional Caucus will work hard to get the Governor Candidate, a religious leader,  a professional and politician for radio talk shows and call in sessions;

6)      All of us to try to join the campaign trail the final weekend, organize community meetings and invite the candidate or his running mate to talk to the voters;

7)      Liaise with local campaign teams to provide logistical support to local mobilisers (driving people to leave their homes and turn up to vote), election and security agents to secure the votes cast and guard against electoral malpractices on the voting day.

    The fact of the matter is so long as Oduol is beeing seen as a Jubillee project he is going nowhere…

    Onyango Oloo

    @Pinto. Seen by who? By rumour mongers and idlers? Is that why ODM allowed him to participate in the January 17th primaries?

    Onyango Oloo

    Jane:

    Substantiate your DEFAMATORY lies on Oduol. Where is the evidence? Proof? It is very easy to log on to Facebook and thrown cow dung at people while hiding behind your phone or computer. If you are serious, demonstrate by sharing something credible.

    With due respect Oloo, i will not explain anything further than that,but wot i know so far,Oduol is waisting his tym bcos Siaya is going 2 do it Makueni style same 2 Bungoma. Kwisha.

    Onyango Oloo

    @ Jane. Thanks for your response. You are basically ADMITTING that you have NO FACTS to back up your mudslinging. I do respect your democratic right to back Rasanga Amoth, the LOSING CANDIDATE. The 2010 Constitution is wonderful!

    Pintoomolo Omolo

    Onyango, in a democratic society everybody has the liberty to choose a party which they think will advance their concern. Being official of Jubilee its just natural that you would advance their interest. Given the skewed appointment Jubille has made so far and the missteps they have made since they came to power I wonder which sane person can still have trust in Jubilee…

    Boyengo Wa Lilian

    @Omolo think your confusing the TNA SG. OO with Mhe. OO of JUKWAA: Kenyan Discussion Platform

    @ Pinto. I can understand your KNEE JERK reaction. You are CONFUSING me with my NAMESAKE. If you go to my timeline, you will read the following:
    “I am the Secretary for Ideology, Social Democratic Party of Kenya. I am NOT in TNA. That namesake is a totally DIFFERENT INDIVIDUAL. I believe in and work every hour for another, better, more democratic and progressive world.”

    Pintoomolo Omolo

    Oloo, thanks for the correcton…

    Onyango Oloo

    You are welcome. Curious question from me to you. When you sent me an FB friend request, were you contacting the TNA guy or the ORIGINAL Onyango Oloo?

    Pintoomolo Omolo

    Onyango, I thought I was sending it to Adams Oloo, you resemble him..

    Onyango Oloo

    @ Pinto. That is a very tepid, flaccid, threadbare EXCUSE. First of ALL I do NOT at ALL, remotely “resemble” my friend Dr. Adams. Secondly, he is NOT called “Onyango”. Try another line, BETTER YET, simply GIVE UP!

    • Enough let the people decide must the county be in custody of a click of individuals why do they feel emotional when an able siayan shows interest, it must not be u everyday Josiaya grow up by electing somebody who will be independent minded. ODUOL DHI
